Alejandro has more than 25 years of experience and specializes in stock, banking and financial areas both nationally and internationally, advising financial institutions, intermediaries, rating agencies and public and private companies. For nine years he worked at two important firms in New York City and Mexico City and in the public sector in the Central Banking Department of the Central Bank. He is also a founding partner of an important firm in Mexico City which has focused in advising financial entities of all types for more than 10 years. he has extensive experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions, as well as credit restructuring and general corporate aspects.

Experience

  • He was a lawyer in the Central Banking Department of Banco de México for international exchange operations, metals, external public debt and exchange control.
  • Participated, within the Banco de México itself, in the regulation of banking and non-banking financial intermediaries, including the preparation of the current Law on Credit Institutions, the Law to Regulate Financial Groups and other provisions applicable to financial intermediaries.
  • As a lawyer in Mexico and New York he has participated in a large number of operations in the capital market during the last 25 years, including public and private offers of debt or capital in the Mexican Stock Exchange, the New Stock Exchange York and other international markets, advising intermediaries, issuers, investment banks, rating agencies and other participants in various stock market financing operations.
  • On a large number of occasions, he has assisted credit institutions —national and foreign— as well as other intermediaries in the granting and / or restructuring of various types of financing and derivative operations.
  • He has also advised securities agents, private companies, sofoles, sofomes, federal entities, municipalities and other public entities in the design of various structured financing operations, including the first and most important securitizations in Mexico, both in portfolio, equity federal taxes, as well as other flow generating assets.
  • Likewise, he has advised various credit institutions in debt syndicated restructuring processes of some of the most important business groups in Mexico, as well as various entities of the public sector, state governments and the Federal Government itself.

  • Professor of Roman Law at Escuela Libre de Derecho (1992-1994; 2009 to date).
  • Assistant Professor of Monetary and Banking Law at Escuela Libre de Derecho (1999 to date)
  • Professor of the Postgraduate Course in Commercial and Banking Law at Escuela Libre de Derecho (2003 to date).
  • Professor in the Postgraduate Course in Financial Law at Universidad Iberoamericana (2002-2006)
  • Professor of the Postgraduate Course in Commercial Law at Universidad Panamericana (2003-2006).
  • Professor of Law and Finance in the Master's Program at Escuela Libre de Derecho (2008 to date).
